How much does branding cost in Singapore?

> The short answer
Branding in Singapore can cost anything from a few thousand dollars for a logo to well over S$50,000 for a full rebrand. The price depends less on the logo and more on the scope: how much strategy is involved, how many touchpoints need designing, who does the work and how many decision-makers must sign off.
It is the first question every founder asks, and the least satisfying one to answer, because "branding" covers everything from a logo file to a company-wide repositioning. So instead of a single number, here is what actually moves the price, and what each budget level can realistically buy.
What drives the cost of branding?
Two projects can both be called "a rebrand" and differ in cost several times over. These are the factors that make the difference:
- Strategy depth. A logo-only job skips research. A proper rebrand starts with interviews, a competitor review and positioning work, and that thinking is often the most valuable part.
- Number of touchpoints. A logo and a business card is one thing. A logo, a type and colour system, packaging for twelve SKUs, signage and social templates is another.
- Naming. Creating and checking a new name (trademark searches, domain and handle availability, meaning in other languages) is a project in itself.
- Who does the work. A freelancer, a small studio and a large agency carry very different overheads. Senior people cost more, and they are also the reason the thinking is sharper.
- Decision-makers. One founder can approve in a day. A board, a family business or a franchise network adds rounds, meetings and time.
- Production. Printing, photography, video and fabrication are usually quoted separately from design fees, and can easily match them.
What can each budget realistically buy?
These are broad bands, not a price list. Studios structure fees differently, but the trade-offs hold across the market.
- Under S$10,000: a logo and a basic identity (colours, fonts, a few applications), usually with little or no strategy work. Good for a new business testing an idea. Risky for an established one, because a logo without a reason tends to be replaced again within a few years.
- S$10,000 to S$25,000: a focused identity project with some strategy up front, a considered logo and visual system, and a short guidelines document. Suits founder-led SMEs with a clear offer.
- S$25,000 to S$50,000: a full rebrand for a growing SME: research, positioning, tone of voice, a complete identity system, guidelines and the key templates your team will use every day.
- S$50,000 and above: multi-brand or multi-market work, naming, large packaging ranges, campaign launches or rollouts across many locations.
Is a cheaper logo a false economy?
Not always. If you are pre-revenue and still finding product-market fit, a simple, tidy identity is the right call; spend the money on the product. It becomes a false economy when the business is established, the brand is visibly holding it back, and the fix is a new logo with no thinking behind it. You pay twice: once now, and again when the new logo still does not fit.
How do I make a small branding budget go further?
- Prioritise the touchpoints customers actually see. For a café, that might be the shopfront and the cup. For a B2B firm, the proposal deck and the website.
- Keep strategy in, trim applications. It is cheaper to add applications later than to redo the core idea.
- Arrive prepared. A clear brief, decision-makers in the room and fast feedback save paid time. See how to brief a creative agency.
- Ask for templates. Editable templates let your team produce everyday material without paying a designer each time.
- Phase it. Identity first, packaging and signage in the next budget cycle.
Are there grants for branding in Singapore?
Enterprise Singapore's Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) can co-fund brand strategy projects for eligible local SMEs. Support levels, eligibility and the paperwork change over time, so check the current terms on Enterprise Singapore's website before you plan your budget around a grant, and ask any studio you speak to whether they have worked within the scheme.
How we price at Dope Creatives
We quote per project after a first conversation, because scope drives cost more than anything else. Our enquiry form asks for a rough budget band so we can tell you honestly, early, what that budget can do, and whether we are the right studio for it. Quick questions
How much does a logo cost in Singapore?
A standalone logo can cost from a few hundred dollars on marketplaces to several thousand from an experienced designer or studio. The difference is usually research, originality checks, a usable system around the logo and proper file handover.
Why do branding agencies not publish prices?
Because scope varies enormously. Most studios quote after understanding the business, the number of touchpoints and the timeline. Asking for a budget range early helps both sides.
Is printing included in a branding quote?
Usually not. Printing, fabrication, photography and video are normally quoted separately or passed through at cost, so ask for them to be listed.
